Youth Week festivities enjoyed

To beat school holidays boredom, Toowoomba Regional Council ran a variety of activities for young people in Pittsworth and Millmerran over the last couple of weeks.

Among the festivities was a variety of board games played at Pittsworth and Millmerran libraries and a photography workshop held at Pittsworth Library hosted by Happy Snappers of the Downs member Inge Gajczak.

Youth Week continued outdoors on Tuesday at Club Pittsworth, where basketball, traditional Indigenous ball games and archery attack were on offer. 

The last event on the calendar is the Toowoomba Mayoral Skateboarding Competition, to  be held on Saturday, 23 April at Chalk Drive Skate Park in Toowoomba from 10am to 4pm.

There are different age divisions: 9 & under, 12 & under, 15 & under, open men’s and open women’s.

There is no cost to enter the competition.
