Young Warriors Gain Rep Selection
Wattles junior stars Jack Burton and Hugh Denny have recently gained selection in the Darling Downs Under 12 Schoolboy Representative team.

The 2022 Queensland Primary Schools Under 12 Schoolboy titles are being hosted by the Sunshine Coast Schools Region at the Maroochydore Junior Rugby League Club from June 23rd – 28th.
Jack & Hugh have been in fine form in the initial weeks of the current competition for Wattles Under 12 side.
Talented lock forward Jack is especially hitting his straps being judged Wattles’ Player of the Challenge at the Walker Weekend Challenge in Toowoomba in late April.
Both players have worn Central Downs representative colours in Zone 5 Under 35 & Under 43 kg Carnivals in recent years, and have recently gained Central Downs representative team honours to take part in the Zone 5 Under 43kg Carnival at Cunnamulla in early July.
Wattles Juniors Head to Goondiwindi - Wattles Junior Warriors will also head west to Goondiwindi this weekend, contesting Round 5 of the 2022 Warwick & District Junior Rugby League premiership.
The junior Warriors will do battle at Gilbert Oval on Saturday, before the Wattles seniors take the field on Sunday.
As with all other rugby league fixtures around the Southern & Darling Downs last weekend, wet condition saw fixtures cancelled, denying Wattles the opportunity to host the Stanthorpe Gremlins at Platz Oval.
The program for this Saturday, May 21st: Gilbert Oval, Goondiwindi. Back Field: 9 am – Under 6; 9 am – Under 7; 9 am – Under 8; 9.50 am – Under 9; 10.45 am – Under 10. Main Field: 9 am – Under 11; 9.50 am – Under 12; 10.45 am – Under 13; 12 noon – Under 15; 1.15 pm – Under 17.
Wattles Under 9’s NRL Highlight - The Wattles Warriors Under 9’s will experience an amazing junior rugby league moment this Sunday, May 22nd, when they run on in an exhibition match against Norths Tigers from Ipswich at half time of the Gold Coast Titans and Cronulla Sharks National Rugby League match at Cbus Super Stadium on the Gold Coast. The Titans Mini League program has returned in 2022 for all Titans home games at Cbus Super Stadium!
The games are an amazing opportunity for local junior rugby league teams to play on the same field as their Titans heroes during half time of NRL matches.
