Young tennis hopefuls display their talents
Clifton tennis centre was the venue last Friday for the district’s young tennis hopefuls to compete for a place in the Central Downs tennis team and ultimately try for a place in the Darling Downs Primary Schools tennis team.
Young tennis hopefuls came from a range of local schools.
Clifton tennis coach Jaeden Ruhle and local Primary School teacher Barry Healy ran a critical eye over the young hopefuls searching for players with the talent to go on to representative selection.
Despite the hot weather all players gave it their best shot to impress and competition was friendly and honest.
Players came from Clifton, Allora, Nobby, Greenmount and Back Plains State Schools while St. Francis de Sales Clifton and St. Patrick’s Allora were also represented.
