Young Goombungee artist shines at InStudio Art Trail
Sixteen-years-old Goombungee artist Ava Englund was the youngest artist in this year’s 13th running of the annual InStudio Art Trail.
The 13th annual InStudio Art Trail has concluded, marking another successful year of celebrating the creative community within the High Country Hamlets region.
Over four weekends in August, art enthusiasts and curious visitors flocked to the area to explore the diverse range of artistic talents that this region has to offer.
This year’s trail showcased 42 talented artists who opened their home studios or participated in shared exhibitions from Crows Nest to Highfields.
Visitors had the unique opportunity to peek into the creative spaces of painters, sculptors, mosaicists, photographers, jewellers, textile artists, woodworkers, ceramicists, screen printers, metal workers, cartographers, and glass artisans, all while enjoying driving through the towns along the New England Highway and out to Goombungee.
With the 13th edition of the InStudio Art Trail now behind us, the creative spirit of the region continues to grow, and plans for next year’s event are already underway.
If you are an artist, living Highfields, Crows Nest, Goombungee or anywhere in between, and are interested in being a part of the trail, you can contact the organisers at instudioarttrail.com.au to express your interest.
