Work begins on new Women’s Shed at Pioneer Village
Trevor Saal was pleased to see work finally underway this week on the Pittsworth Women’s Shed at the Pioneer Village.
Trevor Saal was at the Pioneer Village on Monday to see work begin on the Pittsworth Women's Shed.
It has been almost two years since Mr Saal donated the funds to build the new shed.
Local contractor, Ben Horn, started the earthworks on Monday in preparation for the concrete to be poured next week.
Toowoomba Regional Council granted approval to build the Women’s Shed in March this year but certification approval was only received two weeks ago.
The shed frame is to be delivered by mid November.
If everything goes to plan, the new Women’s Shed should be finished by Christmas (weather permitting).
