What A Mess!
Last Wednesday work was carried out to the Muir Street toilets and the photo provides a good understanding why access cannot be provided at this stage.
Tradesmen were installing a compliant septic system and roof water drainage with work forecast to be completed early August which is the same time the Hall is planned to be reopened.
Last week local business people commented on the awful stench wafting around Herbert Street and questions have been asked if it came from the toilets. The Southern Downs Regional Council has been asked for comment on the matter.
