If a school wants a chaplain they need to raise additional funds to be able to pay a chaplain and the funds available determine how many days a week they can have a chaplain.

Chaplains provide a wonderful service of support to students and their families and also to staff.

With more and more behavioural issues with many students and increased demand on teachers and resources, plus cost of living challenges for everyone in our school communities, a school chaplain provides much needed services of support and help in these challenging times.

Pastor Steve Simpson from the Westbrook Community Church – a school chaplain himself, together with his small but enthusiastic congregation had a stall at Succulent Fest during the September School Holidays and donated all of the $1908 raised to the Bunker’s Hill State School Chaplaincy Fund.
