Wattles Under 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12 and 15 teams took the field at Inglewood, while the Under 18 Girls ran on in Warwick against Collegians.

It was indeed an impressive lady’s day out with Wattles Under 15 League Tag girls and Under 18 ladies posting confident winning results.

Wattles All In Electrical Under 15 Girls coach George Berry was overwhelmed with the performance of his team in “their sensational 18 – 4 win” against the MIT line-up.

Despite the trying conditions, the young ladies in green and gold were willing to throw the ball around trying their recently learned moves.

“Handling errors in the wet were plentiful but our defence once again held only letting in a single opposition try.”

Emelia Hoey, Teeah Davis and Georgia Death all crossed for tries, while Zoey Sweet was on target with three goals from three attempts.

Wattles Club Hotel, Clifton Under 18 Ladies completed “an amazing day of rugby league” according to be a more than pleased coach Bill Gorringe.

“The girls put together an outstanding performance on Saturday, the end result a convincing 38 to 10 win over Collegians.

Willett Electrical Under 7 - While rain put a dampener on proceedings at Inglewood, it didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of Wattles Under 7’s.

Coach Ross Williams commended his players given their strength in both attack and defence, not allowing their MIT opponents the freedom to make many metres.

Railway Hotel Under 8 - Co-coach Jared Gault described his Under 8 sides game against the Jets as “a thrilling match !”.
