Victoria Hill Hall turns green

The Victoria Hill QCWA Branch’s 52nd annual St. Patrick’s Day function last Monday, 16 March saw 38 attendees.

Organiser Shirley Erhardt said all enjoyed a High Tea and were entertained by Cassie and Andrew Midgley from Greenmount.

“Cassie delighted all with her singing with Andrew accompanying her on the piano, our member Karli Ekerick delighted all playing the violin, Helen Gillam had the audience in laughter with her Irish Jokes,” Mrs Erhardt said.

“Members of QCWA Victoria Hill Branch express our sincere thanks to Colleen Horton for once again bringing a free bus from Clifton with patrons.

“Collen has done this for many years, her support is greatly appreciated.

“Unfortunately, numbers were down this year with 38 attending, sincere thanks to all who attended also to the QCWA Branches in Border Division for their attendance and support namely Wallangarra, Dalveen,Condamine Valley/Warwick, Allora, Leyburn and Clifton.”

The winner of the ladies green outfit was Cassie Midgley and the winner of the gents was Kerry Cranitch.

A special award went to Marj Mason as the Leprechaun.
