Vehicle manoeuvrability upgrade for Lions Park, Hodgson Vale
It will soon be a lot easier for visitors to manoeuvre their vehicles around Lions Park alongside the New England Highway at Hodgson Vale.

Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) is progressing with works on the final component of the Lions Park Master Plan upgrade project.
TRC Parks and Recreation Services portfolio leader Cr Tim McMahon said the project includes construction of a vehicle turnaround facility, near the highway to improve car and caravan movement in the existing car park.
“In addition, a new vehicle path will be constructed to safely connect the existing sports park vehicle access to the new turnaround,” Cr McMahon said.
“An all-access pedestrian path will be constructed from
the parking area to the sports fields.
“Council allocated more than $868,000 to these final and mainly civil construction parts of the Master Plan implementation project in the current Budget,” Cr McMahon said.
The work is scheduled for completion in June this year, weather permitting.
