Unexpected deluge hits East Greenmount area
Seemingly out of nowhere, upwards of 70mm of rain fell on East Greenmount, Ascot and Budgee on Monday afternoon.

Waterlogged paddocks in East Greenmount near the Wheatsheaf Hotel show the aftermath of the downpour.
The rain, travelling north-west, started in the early afternoon and fell quickly, within about a two-hour window.
Some places at some points recorded precipitation rates of over 100mm an hour.
As the storm passed through the East Greenmount area it dropped in intensity, as Greenmount and Cambooya received between 20 and 40mm of rain.
