U3A sign on morning a success

Pittsworth’s University of the Third Age (U3A) held its Open Morning in the old bank on Tuesday to give residents the opportunity to join one or more of the many groups which are on offer, and it was a great success.

Led by tutors, there are plenty of fun and enjoyable things for retirees in our town to attend, from Singing for Fun, to Line Dancing, Cryptic Crosswords, the Lunch Club, Art and so much more.

Attending the Open Morning allowed interested persons to chat to the tutors and find out more about the program.

Pittsworth’s Tutor Co-ordinator Lyndall Madden said the morning went very well with our local U3A now having approximately 100 members.

If you would like to join but were unable to attend the morning give Lyndall a call on 0439 325 102.

Officially the U3A term starts on January 31st but everyone who is a member is urged to be in touch with their tutors in regards to start times as some classes may not begin until a later date.

Everyone is asked to wear their masks and yellow badge.
