Notorious New England Highway corner scene of two truck collision
The New England Highway at Cambooya was the scene for a non-fatal, two truck collision at 5.38am on Friday 17 February as a southbound vehicle collided with a northbound vehicle on the sweeping bend where the highway joins with the Greenmount Etonvale Road.

Paramedics attended the scene and a man with back pain was transported in a stable condition to Toowoomba Hospital.
A second man was assessed, with no injuries reported and no transport required.
The highway was blocked for several hours for south-bound traffic which was diverted along the Greenmount Etonvale road and rejoined the highway further south.
North-bound traffic was able to continue moving as it was diverted by police along a short by-pass road.
Police and Emergency Fire and Rescue vehicles attended the scene where both trucks were forced off the road and truck debris littered the highway.
Despite the sweeping bend on the highway being an 80 kilometres an hour zone this section of the road has a bad reputation with hundreds of large semi trailer vehicles using the highway each day.
Both trucks sustained some damage in the collision but remained upright with their loads still on board and heavy vehicle tow trucks were brought in to remove them.
