Traffic Crash/Drink Driver
At 8.30pm on Friday July 23, an intoxicated 26 year old Darling Downs man has left a hotel in Herbert Street, spinning his wheels in the wet causing his red Holden utility to fishtail.

The driver has then continued to drive at speed onto Drayton Street, where he has lost control of his vehicle, hitting a speed sign and scraping his vehicle along a stop sign before driving over gutters onto Forde Street before coming to a stop.
The vehicle was extensively damaged and numerous residents came out of their homes after hearing the crash. The driver has stayed at the scene for a short time before fl eeing prior to police arrival.
QFRS and Police attended the crash. After assistance from residents who spoke to the driver, police located the driver a short distance away in the Allora CBD.
The driver provided a positive breath test at the Warwick Watch House over 3 times the legal limit and was subsequently charged with Driving whilst under the infl uence of liquor, Careless driving and driving with a disqualifi ed licence.
The vehicle was immobilised for 7 days and the driver will appear in the Warwick Magistrates Court on the 27/9/21.
Allora Police would like to thank bystanders who checked on the driver immediately after the crash and want to remind community members not to drink and drive.
