Top day for an outing
Margaret and Les Penfold enjoyed a Sunday outing to the Men’s Shed Car Show at the Pioneer Village in their spectacular 1929 Chevrolet.
The car was well travelled when the Penfolds found it for sale on the Gold Coast about five years ago - it had previously been in Western Australia. At 91, Les doesn’t drive any more but the couple - married for 65 years - enjoy outings when their son is able to get the pride and joy out. There was a car from every era since at Sunday’s show, with a sensational 160 vehicles rolling in to help raise funds for It’s a Bloke Thing and the Men’s Shed fundraiser, A Shed Down the Murray.
