Time to Wizard up Pittsworth!
Pittsworth businesses are invited to ‘get their wizard on’ in support of the local production of The Wizard of Oz next month.
The Pittsworth Amateur Theatrical Society (PATS) show includes a whopping cast of 45 from around Pittsworth, Millmerran and Toowoomba, who are busy with twice-weekly rehearsals.
Business owners are beginning to decorate shop windows in support of the show and to be in the running for a free ticket.
Rhonda Ashton, who is in charge of costumes and set design, said the window displays were a fun way for the town to get involved and help promote the show.
Ashton’s Butchery has led the way with a display of their own and others are popping up around town including a Yellow Brick Road painting in the window of Rhythm of Indulgence beauty salon.
Tickets are available now for The Wizard of Oz at the Pittsworth Town Hall, at 7pm on August 19; 2pm on August 20; 7pm on Friday, August 25 and 2pm on Saturday, August 26.
Tickets are $35 for adults, $30 for students and $25 for children 12 years and under.
