Emergency services were alerted to the collision just north of the junction with Nobby Connection Road at 12.30pm, near the entrance to Steele Rudd Containers.

Conditions were poor due to ongoing rain during last week.

Of the three vehicles involved, a Toyota HiLux remained on the road while  a Toyota RAV4 and a  Mitsubishi Outlander came to a stop on either side of the road.

All three vehicles sustained significant damage to the front on the drivers’ sides and required towing.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said
four patients were transported to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.

They were a man in his 20s with minor lacerations, a woman in her 20s with abdominal pain, a man in his 30s with minor injuries and a male toddler with no injuries.

A spokesperson for the Queensland Police Service said the incident is still under investigation by local police officers and no arrests or charges have been made at this stage.
