The Boy from Bonnie Doon coming to Kingsthorpe Hall
Kingsthorpe musician Brian Muldoon, originally from Melbourne, is putting on a Show at the Memorial Hall this Sunday (February 9th).

Brian performs in a variety of styles including, country, pop (50s-80s), and rock and roll.
He’s had a 50 year performing career having started at Melbourne, with Morning Melodies and parties.
Brian can channel Elvis, Johnny Cash and Neil Diamond in his repertoire which includes Aussie classics and bubblegum music.
He got into music through mates at school in Melbourne where they formed a band.
As a young man, he was heavily into the Shadows.
Originally a guitarist, Brian has steadily developed his singing skills over the years.
Having lived at Bulla near Melbourne, he and wife Jo moved to Kingsthorpe three years ago thanks to the advice of his daughter, who had lived in Queensland for a number of years with her husband, a serviceman.
“She convinced us to come up after they decided to put the new runway near our house at the Melbourne Airport,” Brian says.
Asked about the similarities of his story to that of the Australia movie The Castle, Brian says there is another coincidental linkage between the two.
“The funny thing was, we had a property at Bonnie Doon,” he said.
Having made the move to the Downs, the Muldoons have not regretted it.
“At Kingsthorpe, you can wake up every morning and the sun’s out,” Brian says.
Having performed at Roma, Surat and at Highfields, his dream is to see Kingsthorpe become a centre of regular music.
Brian Muldoon’s concert takes place from 12.30-3pm this Sunday. Free tea and coffee. Sandwiches to buy.
