"The best Christmas Party in town"

The Pittsworth Garden Club celebrated the festive season with its annual Christmas get together on Tuesday, 3rd December, in what members described as the “best Christmas Party in town”.

Dressed as Christmas Carols were Gail Eulenstein (I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas), Helen Meppen (O Christmas Tree), Valerie Hohn (Star of Bethlehem) and Linda Quinlan (Aussie Jingle Bells).

Our Christmas party was again a colourful, entertaining affair, with members dressed in Christmas colours or as Christmas Carols.

The winners were Ann Cobb, dressed as a beautiful angel, Robyn Steger jingled happily as Silver Bells and Merv Fowler bravely became The Little Drummer Boy.

Thank you to all participants for the magnificent effort made to create the carols in dress.

The photo competition of members as children or teenagers was very challenging but fun puzzles also created a lot of interest.

Then came the big moment when many members performed in plays, told jokes, sang and hopefully entertained the crowd.

Well done to all participants and thanks to Denise Farrell for helping out with our entertainment.

Congratulations to the winners of the Cliff Draydon trophy: Joy Saal and Fay Garratt, who tied for first.

Cheryl Milne came second and Val Hohn third.

Thank you to our members for your support, help, and good humour throughout the year and thank you to the Sentinel for publishing our activities.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all.

Hoping to see everyone next year at the Hotel Motel on 28th January 2025 at 12pm for our catch up lunch.
