Take Note welcomes returning conductor

Local singing group ‘Take Note’ scooped the pool at the Dalby Eisteddfod in June this year with a wide variety of choral ensemble pieces and small group items. Much of the winning success is attributable to conductor Andrew Doecke, who has agreed to work with the group once more for its upcoming concert in November.

Take Note performers at the Dalby Eisteddfod earlier this year were (from back) Frank Goodall, Murray French, Andrea Trubody, Peter Trubody, Cheryl Fowler, Lindsay Proudlock, Colin Carmichael, (front) Brenda Prentice, Roslyn Hartwig, Cecelia Krieg, Andrew Doecke (Conductor), Robbie Daley, Roberta Redfern, Sue Price, Vicky Barrett, and Julianne McEwan.

Mr Doecke, who is a highly regarded choral conductor and accompanist in the Toowoomba Region, has also worked with many schools and groups including Toowoomba Grammar School, Concordia College, the Toowoomba Philharmonic Society, Ars Cantorum and the St. James Anglican Choir.

He will be conducting Take Note at the concert on 9th November at the Pittsworth Function Centre.

Rehearsals are underway and the group is delighted to welcome the people of the Pittsworth district to its upcoming performance.

Proceeds from admissions will be donated to local Pittsworth charities.
