Superbikes Championship - 3 Days Of Thrills At Morgan Park
The country’s racing-elite return to our region for Round 5 of the Australian Superbike Championship this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Motorcycling Australia CEO Peter Doyle expects that the event will be a much anticipated and welcome highlight for both spectators and riders.
“It’s always a pleasure to get back to Morgan Park. Historically it has been one of the biggest turn outs for the Australian Superbike Championship and the riders and teams alike love to put on a show,” Mr Doyle said.
“The big crowd is just one aspect of why the Southern Downs Region is a favourite. The people in the region are terrific and the hospitality is second to none and the way they welcome our Championship entourage is wonderful.
“In 2022, we are bringing all of our major classes back to Warwick for the first time since 2019 and we are really looking forward to a fantastic weekend of the best motorcycle racing in the land.”
Southern Downs Mayor Vic Pennisi said that hosting the Championship was a win for both the region and the burgeoning tourism industry.
“The flow-on effect of welcoming thousands of race fans from across Queensland to the region will have tremendous economic benefits to our local businesses.
“Warwick’s reputation as the Horsepower Capital of Australia will not go unnoticed and hosting this event sends a very clear message to other sporting organisers – Southern Downs means business! The region boasts major sporting facilities that are ready to go for premier motorsport and equestrian events,” Mayor Pennisi said.
