Succulent Fest returns
Mark your calendars for September 17 as Succulent Fest returns to Bunker’s Hill State School at Westbrook.
This highly anticipated local community market and festival, an official Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers event, promises to be a delightful celebration of nature, artistry and community spirit.
Succulent Fest 2023 welcomes succulent, cacti and plant enthusiasts, artisans and families alike to indulge in a unique blend of succulents, plants, handicrafts and artisan goods.
Organised and led by a passionate group of volunteers under the Bunker’s Hill State School P&C Association, this event is more than just a market - it’s an event benefiting the school and local community.
“The succulent-inspired event has grown in popularity year after year, and we are thrilled to be back with our 2023 edition,” said Melinda Edwards, one of the volunteers organising the 2023 event.
“We’ve worked really hard to secure over 80 stallholders so far, each offering a diverse range of products that cater to every taste and style.”
The creative energy at Succulent Fest has attracted close to 3000 visitors in past years, transforming the school grounds into a lively haven of plants and artisan treasures.
“Whether you’re looking to add a touch of nature to your home with succulents, shop for unique handicrafts, or simply bask in the vibrant atmosphere as part of the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers, Succulent Fest has it all,” Melinda said.
“Families will be delighted to explore our family-friendly event, with pony rides and face painting for the kids”
Meanwhile, the Dining Quarter will ignite taste buds with a selection of local food vendors, providing a blend of flavours to complement the festival experience.
Succulent Fest is a prime example of how the community comes together to nurture creativity, support local artisans and provide an enriching experience for everyone.
“The festival’s success wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support of our community, stallholders, volunteers, the Bunker’s Hill State School P&C Association and our school families,” Melinda said.
