Stockyard celebrates Beef Battle win
Stockyard Beef, which owns and operates the Kerwee feedlot at Jondaryan took out the 2024 Beef Battle Professional Choice with a cut of Kiwami Wagyu.

The event, hosted by the Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprise group (TSBE), saw Stockyard face off against nine of the region’s beef brands - Australian Country Choice, Grove Shorthorns, JBS, John Dee, Mort and Co, NH Foods, Rangers Valley and Stanbroke.
TSBE Food Leaders Australia General Manager Rowie Beveridge said the competition was a fantastic way to bring the local beef industry together.
“This event recognises some of the world class producers in our region,” she said in a media release following the event.
Stockyard Beef’s Pastoral and Livestock Chief Operations Officer Marcus Doumany told The Oakey Champion the award was a credit to the hard
work of the Stockyard employees, including the 32 workers at the Kerwee feedlot.
