St Francis de Sales School awards

Recently the awards presentation for St Francis de Sales School was held, with students receiving Good Samaritan and Most Consistent Effort awards and the Pat Weir Enthusiasm Award.

 The presentations were originally meant to be held outside but heavy rainfall forced the event indoors.

Toowoomba Region Mayor Paul Antonio, Member for Condamine and Shadow Minister for Natural Resources, Mines and Energy Pat Weir and parish priest Father Rod MacGinley handed out the awards.

Mayor Antonio and Mr Weir spoke to students about their experiences schooling in Captains Mountain and Cecil Plains respectively, encouraging the students that the sky is the limit.

WINNERS

Good Samaritan - Charlie Harrigan (Prep), James Patterson (Year 1), Rhys Gascoyne (Year 2), Chloe Stace (Year 3), Thomas Patterson (Year 4) and Nate Murdoch (Year 5).

Most Consistent Effort - Chaz Daley (Year 1), Natalie Patterson (Year 2), Harvey Kuhn (Year 3), Eve Skillington (Year 4) and Caitlyn Kuhn (Year 5).

Pat Weir Enthusiasm Award - Blaike Dawson (Year 6).
