School Sport Australia National Champion
Allora swimmer Bailey Harm has returned from the School Sport Australia Games as a National Champion after winning the 16 years 100m Freestyle in a 52.63 second swim.
Bailey dominated the blue ribbon event from start to finish.
Selected to the Queensland Team, Bailey competed in ten events at the Championships with nine podium finishes.
Bailey won Silver in the 16 years 50m Free in 23.83 secs and Bronze in both the 16 years 50 Backstroke and Breaststroke.
He finished 4th in the 16 years 50m Butterfly.
Bailey was selected to swim five relays alongside his Queensland Team mates.
In an exceptional sprint to anchor the 15/16 years mixed medley relay, Bailey swam the team home in a 22.76 sec 50 Free to snatch the gold medal from NSW.
Bailey anchored the 15/16 years Boys Medley for silver, the 15/16 Freestyle team to silver and the 13-19 years 4 x 100 Free Relay to bronze.
He was a part of the All Age Mixed Freestyle relay where Queensland won the silver.
It has been a busy winter for Bailey who spent his school holidays at the Swimming Queensland Bris Vegas Development Camp at Currimundi on the Sunshine Coast.
He has also been invited to Swimming Queensland’s Tilly Cup Training Days and Talent Identification Testing Days.
Bailey will compete at the Queensland Short Course Championships this weekend before taking a break from the pool and turning his attention to high jump and discus as part of the school athletics season.
