Rotary Carnival a big draw card for Allora
The Allora Swim Club held their annual Allora Rotary Open Carnival at the Allora Pool over the weekend.

In its 54th edition, numbers were up as this event continues to gain support from around the Darling Downs.
Club President Andrew Moore commented that “to have 240 nominated swimmers for our event is incredible. The committee and club have worked tirelessly to hold this event and its success is something to be proud of. We are also extremely grateful for the amazing support we received from our sponsors and the local community.”
Club Patron Marg Rackley, who was present at the very first Rotary Carnival in 1969 was in attendance along with many other life members.
The Allora Swim Club started its season in early October and hold their weekly club nights each Friday at the Allora Pool.
The new committee is very pleased with the membership numbers this year and are looking forward to a very successful rest of the season.
We’ll have a full coverage of the swimming achievements at the Carnival in next week’s Allora Advertiser.
