Ramsay couple buys a church
Grant and Angela Gadsby of Ramsay purchased Sacred Heart Church in Deuchar, south of Allora, at auction on Saturday 19 June for $385,000.

Matt Cleary of Ray White Pittsworth said there had been a
lot of interest leading up to the auction with 160 people attending across four openings.
There were over 150 people in attendance at the auction,
45 of those registering as bidders with bidding starting at $100,000.
Mr Cleary said the sale price of $385,000 was well above valuations.
Grant Gadsby said he and Angela did not have a maximum price in mind.
“It was too good to let go,” Mr Gadsby said.
“It had a bit more going for it and a good story behind it.”
Mr Gadsby said they appreciated the heritage and uniqueness of the property.
The Gadsbys have not decided yet want they would like to do with their new purchase.
“We’re weighing up a few options at the moment,” Mr Gadsby said.
The potential options included using the church as an Airbnb or as a wedding venue.
