Raff Group passes on cheque to Oakey State School
Local and independent hardware and rural supplies retailer Raff Group has presented a cheque to support Oakey State School’s projects and programs.
Through the CRT Primary Schools Program, Raff Group Business Manager Annabelle Raff handed over a cheque for $2000 to Oakey State School P&C Association President Michelle Fahey and P&C executive member Jade Gollan.
The CRT Primary Schools Program supports projects that have a positive impact on rural and regional primary schools across Australia.
Oakey P&C Association was one of 25 recipients of the program’s second year, which saw more than 170 applicants.
Mrs Raff said she was proud to support regional schools through the CRT Primary Schools Program.
“Having grown up in a rural town, I know how important schools are for the development of children in regional Australia,” she said.
“This program is about recognising the important role local P&C Associations have in supporting local schools.”
Oakey State School Principal Scott Pacey said that his school was fortunate to be chosen as a recipient of the 2024 CRT Primary Schools Program.
“This funding will help our school by supporting our after-school, sporting, and creative arts programs and this will provide more resources to help our students learning,” he said.
Mrs Raff said as part of the CRT network, Raff Group was proud to support the community, not only as an employer, but as part of the community itself.
“With three stores in regional Darling Downs: Clifton, Millmerran and Pittsworth, we pride ourselves on supporting local communities access programs such as the CRT Primary Schools Program,” she said.
