Queensland state election looming

With nominations for the 2024 Queensland Election closing last Wednesday, candidates have begun hitting the campaign trail in the Condamine electorate.

The candidates are:

Pat Weir (LNP)

Ben Whibley-Faulkner (Labor)

Ellisa Parker (Greens)

Alan Hughes (Family First Party)

Clay Harland (One Nation)

At the last election in 2020, Condamine saw candidates from the LNP, Labor, Greens, One Nation and United Australia parties.

PRE-POLLING

Pre-polling centres will
be open from 8am to 6pm from Monday, 14 October to Friday, 18 October and from Monday, 21 October to Friday, 25 October.

Election Day is Saturday, 26 October.

Unlike the local government elections earlier this year, there is no requirement to cast your vote in the electorate in which you live.

Pre-polling will be available at:

Pittsworth Early Voting Centre: St. Andrew’s Anglican Church Hall, 18 Murray Street (cnr 30 Hume Street), Pittsworth

Returning Officer Condamine: 40 Sowden Street, Drayton

Returning Officer Toowoomba South & North: 102-104 Hill Street, Newtown

Newtown Early Voting Centre: 485-487 Tor Street, Newtown

South Toowoomba Early Voting Centre: 2 Lawrence Street, South Toowoomba

On election day, there will be polling booths in Cambooya, Wyreema, Westbrook (Bunker’s Hill), East Greenmount, Nobby, Pilton, Drayton, Darling Heights and Middle Ridge.
