Queensland Fire Squad Welcomes Kira Holmes
The Women’s National Cricket League competition resumes this week in Perth and local product Kira Holmes could play a big part.

Last Thursday at the Ian Healy Oval, Kira was presented with her Debut Cap for the Queensland Fire Squad.
An amazing achievement as Kira did not debut until this year.
Originally from Allora, Kira was a member of the Queensland Under-19 squad that won the national titles last year and has been in strong touch in the Katherine Raymont Shield and KFC T20 Max competitions.
A multi-talented sports-person as she was a competitive camp drafter and equestrian competitor as a youngster before concentrating on cricket, with her efforts for Valley so far earning her 671 runs including two one-day centuries.
Another Darling Downs cricketer Ruth Johnston from Dalby has also made her debut with the Queensland Fire Squad.
Experienced batter Laura Harris will captain the side with Charli Knott named as vice-captain.
Coverage of the match will be available through cricket.com.au
