The QVSA is a state school initiative that delivers courses to expand and enhance Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) opportunities for highly capable students in grades four to six.

The Academy presented this award to Ari in recognition of her engagement in the program for four consecutive years with outstanding results.

Ari first enrolled in the Academy, in the Young Einsteins’ Club, when she was in grade three.

This continued into her fourth year of primary education.

Across the last two years, Ari has completed four 10 week courses for which she continued to achieve excellent results and received commendations from her online educator in all four categories.

Students like Ari, through a virtual classroom, collaborated with other like-minded children from across Queensland, and with experts from various industries and research centres from around Australia.

The courses rely on critical thinking, problem solving, communication and digital literacy.
