PSHS team notches wins at gala day
Pittsworth State High School Open Boys’ Rugby League competed in the popular Lockyer 9s Gala Day at Gatton.

More than 25 teams took part, in three age groups, playing five high-intensity games each of 12 minutes throughout the day.
Match results:
Game 1 - PSHS defeated St Mary’s College 14-12.
Game 2 - PSHS defeated by Harristown SHS 14-10.
Game 3 - draw with Assumption College
Game 4 - PSHS defeated Concordia Lutheran College 22-6
Game 5 - PSHS defeated by Lockyer SHS 20-10
Pittsworth finished the competition in third place, missing the grand final by just four points. The boys played very well with some brilliant tries and scrambling defence being highlights.
It was great to see what was worked on at training, being put into practice, some of which included ways to create space and take advantage of overlaps, allowing Pittsworth to dominate in some great lead-up play.
Thanks for your efforts boys, these are promising results. We look forward to competing in the Term 2 NRL Trophy with our first game in Week 2.
