Sergeant Tim Hoffman said a large quantity of tools, generators, welders,  and other items were also recovered during the raid on Pittsworth addresses, as well as a quantity of drugs and utensils.

“As a result of information received in relation to the copper wire thefts, a number of search warrants were executed,“ he said.

Three Pittsworth males have been charged with multiple stealing, traffic, drug and property offences and will appear in the Pittsworth Court on October 14. Investigations are continuing into the recent spate of thefts from farms and police have reiterated their request for prompt reporting of such matters.

“Please continue reporting any suspicious activity, and any crime that has been committed, to Policelink on 131 444.”

Police are also interested in hearing from anyone who recognises any of the tools they have recovered.
