Promotion for former Downs Ambo
The former Assistant Commissioner with Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) on the Darling Downs, Stephen Zsombok, has been promoted to the position of Deputy Commissioner.
Mr Zsombokhas more than 28 years’ experience within the QAS and held various positions within the organisation, including Assistant Commissioner, Darling Downs, Assistant Commissioner, Strategic Operations and most recently as Acting Deputy Commissioner, Corporate and Statewide Services.
He will now fill the latter role permanently.
The Deputy Commissioner, Corporate and Statewide Services is a relatively new role within QAS, and ensures delivery of statewide corporate service functions such as Finance, Human Resources, Workplace Health and Safety, Infrastructure and Procurement, as well as leading statewide operational systems and functions including the Health Contact Centre and Strategic Operations.
