Polocrosse carnival attracts strong support
Clifton Polocrosse Club’s carnival over the long weekend was well supported with participants travelling from a wide area of Queensland and New South Wales.

The fact that the Barastoc Interstate Series and Shell Cup carnival is being staged in Warwick across May 6, 7 and 8 helped considerably with players being able to give themselves and their horses a run at Clifton just a week out from the major event.
Prominent among the teams competing was the highly skilled Albury-Holbrook combination from southern New South Wales.
Players at the Clifton carnival included five members of the Australian team.
The two-day event at Clifton covered a wide range of skills with competition ranging from junior games through to A Grade.
The weekend began in convivial fashion with a barbecue on Friday night which set the scene for some good sportsmanship across the carnival.
