Police appeal for information after hit and run

Police are looking for assistance from the public following a hit and a run at Mount Rascal early on Monday morning, that has left a man with critical injuries.

Police say a passing motorist raised the alarm just after 7am when a man was discovered with critical injuries on Freyling Road, east of Mount Rascal Road.

Police believe the man was struck between 5am and 6am, by a vehicle which then failed to remain at the scene.

The 77-years-old male sustained broken legs and pelvis injuries and was transported to Toowoomba Base Hospital and later airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Investigators are appealing to the driver or anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have CCTV/dashcam footage of the area around the time of the incident to come forward.
