Pittsworth’s latest COVID jab figures revealed
The Pittsworth Platinum Medical Centre received its first delivery of the Pfizer vaccine last week, and with the eligibility age now lowered to 12-years-old, they Centre is urging everyone to come forward and get vaccinated.
Last Thursday, the medical centre received 300 doses of the Pfizer vaccine, and on Sunday ran its first Pfizer clinic, where 195 jabs were administered.
With 100 vaccines still available in this delivery, the Centre is running another clinic this afternoon, and anyone is welcome to go along.
Currently, the centre is set to receive 300 doses per fortnight, and after today’s clinic the next one will be run on October 10.
The Platinum Medical Centre is also still administering the AstraZeneca vaccine.
So far, the COVID vaccine statistics based on jabs administered by the Pittsworth Platinum Medical Centre are as follows:
Number of people fully vaccinated for AstraZeneca: 558
Number of people who have their first AstraZeneca vaccine: 215
Number of people who have their first Pfizer vaccine: 195
The Pittsworth Medical Centre on Yandilla Street has been administering COVID vaccines since March, significantly raising the total number of vaccines administered in town.
Also worth noting is that 98 per cent of employees at Beauaraba Living Aged Care Facility are now fully vaccinated, with that figure to hit 100 per cent by today.

Everyone is eligible to get the vaccine, with the Pfizer jab preferred for those aged 12-59 and AstraZeneca recommended for people aged 60 and above.
