Pittsworth Leopards had an amazing game winning their first game of the season 4-9 against Ninjas.

Grace received Player of the Match, scoring a number of goals and playing strong attack within the centre third.

Zoe and Emily played an amazing game in both attack and defence, each scoring a number of points within the second half of the game while also playing strong defence throughout the first and second quarter.

Lily was awarded Player of the Match by the Ninjas, getting a number of intercepts during her time in centre, also scoring a number of points for the team throughout the second quarter.

Hayley did amazing work within the defensive circle, achieving a number of intercepts throughout the entire game.

Matilda, Sophie and Aayliah had an awesome game in both centre and defence with lots of intercepts for all of them as they achieved a number of turnovers throughout the game.

The girls all worked extremely hard through the entire game in attack and defence, achieving a well-earned win for them all.

Pittsworth Bobcats anticipated an intense game against Phoenix – the team currently sharing their top spot on the ladder.   Our girls started strongly, looking the better team for the first quarter.

Chelsea, Emma, Kyanna and Felicity took control of the defensive end, racking up tips and intercepts with ease.

Chelsea was delivering the ball to the circle
with impressive precision.

Unfortunately, our shots refused to fall with the usual regularity, and we slipped behind on the scoreboard.

The girls dug in – displaying impressive tenacity.

Felicity joined Chelsea in feeding the circle.

Georgia began finding front position and added to the intercept tally.

Ruby was sensational, outplaying a tall rep defender, through superior movement and agility, dominating front position.

Sienna ran her defender ragged with perfectly timed drives.

We held our own in the last but could not claw back the deficit, going down fighting 11-6.

Pittsworth Cheetahs matched up against Fairholme Black with only five regular players.

A big thank you to Marnee, Luci and Eden who very kindly filled in prior to their own game.

Ava ran out the full game at high intensity, at centre, producing some brilliant passes into the shooters.

She was well supported by Keira, Marnee and Eden when alternative options were needed.

Aimee and Keira’s combination was sizzling, passing and moving into spaces like mind readers.

At the defensive end Luci worked her way into the game, a constant presence converting into precious tips and intercepts.

Sally and Mikealee produced excellent team-work in the circle,  capitalising on each other’s defensive pressure.

Sally kept her opposite in two minds.

Mikealee was tremendous in GD, constantly regaining possession and snuffing out attacking efforts.

After three tight quarters and one that we dominated; Cheetahs won 31-16.

In other games the Wildcats Cubs played well and used the dodging skills they learnt at training last week to get around players successfully.

Pittsworth Tigers remain undefeated in their 12B division following a 15-2 win over TAS Rosellas.

Pittsworth Lynx had a very competitive game against second placed ladder leaders, Brothers bringing the score within one goal at the end of the third quarter despite not having one of their major shooters available due to injury.

The final score was 19-26 but the taste of victory is so close.

Pittsworth Lions and Pittsworth Pumas both had losses this week, against Glennie 18-36 and Fairholme 11-28 respectively.

Pittsworth Panthers had a highly competitive and fast paced game against St. Ursula’s leading all the way resulting in a 20-15 win.

In the heat of the day, Pittsworth Jaguars played Saints Eclipse who are just holding them out of the top four.

The Jaguars went out strongly in the first quarter with great passages of play leading 8-5 into the second quarter.

Saints came back at them dominating the goals with 10 goals to 6 overtaking the lead by one goal.

The intensity of the game continued throughout the third and fourth quarters but in the end Saints were too good for them, going down 27-33.

There are now three games remaining before finals (4 games for Wildcat Cubs).
