The Bobcats produced a strong defensive game against Brothers on the weekend.

Felicity and Georgia starred on the wings, displaying impressive shadow defence and delivering sneaky passes to the shooters.

Ruby was outstanding in GA, creating space, delivering well-visioned passes to the shooters and outrunning her opponent.

Her circle movement worked the ball effortlessly to the post, linking cleverly with Sienna and Isla – both of whom continue to grow in confidence and accuracy.

Chelsea and Emma slotted rapidly into their centre court and goal defensive roles keeping the team on track.

Kyanna took intercepts applying some terrific shadow defence she worked hard to build at training, along with a fantastic shooting quarter.

Isla was invaluable both creating turnovers and adding points to the scoreboard.

Bobcats won 17 – 3.

The Cheetahs faced off against Brothers for the second time this season.

This game was a far cry from the previous 30-point drubbing.

The girls have all displayed terrific development this season, showing ability to match it with the top teams.

Renee continues to rise as a mobile, defensive force applying constant pressure.

Alice nailed the keeper role forcing the shooter wide.

Sally allowed no easy pass by their WA and created turnovers.

Mikealee dominated play through the centre and impressed in delivering the ball to the shooters.

Ava and Harper are building a fantastic combination and provide perfect links in attack.

Aimee bounced back, with her strongest shooting performance in weeks!

Keira was outstanding – matching it with Brothers’ tall, springy, agile goal defender – nullifying his influence that restricted us to just nine goals in the last clash.

After an intense hour of play – a nail biter, between two very even teams – the Cheetahs prevailed 39-33.

After six weeks off the court, Pittsworth Panthers faced top team Fairholme JVW2 on Saturday.

Players were relaxed and focused on what they had to on the court.

Panthers won the centre pass and took control of the game in the first quarter with a nine goals to four lead.

Fairholme could see a pattern of play and approached the court in the second quarter, with the ultimate goal of shutting it down by blocking Hannah on the wing and sandwiching Evie in the goal circle, but despite their attempts, this allowed Ella to remain free in the goals and continue Panthers dominance in the goal circle.

The game grew in intensity as it progressed.

Kayshe and Aliesha continued to control the game from the centre in their respective quarters, with Hannah and Aiden on the
wings enabling advancement of the ball down the court.

Evie remained dominant
in the goal circle throughout the game with the support of Ella and Aliesha.

Mitchell and Amelia did an excellent job working together in defence, closing off Fairholme’s passage of play and restricting their number of attempts in the goals.

Outstanding game by all with an end result of 27 goals to 20 win.

Div 2 Jaguars played an excellent game against Fairholme. With players being swamped on and off the court, they stayed strong the whole game.

Emily, Kayleigh and Jesse put up some awesome goals both long and short distanced.

Kass, Keryl, Catrin and  Catherine kept the ball moving swiftly with many intercepts and one toss up won. Jess and Crystal had amazing defence in the circle with many intercepts. Final score came as 15-30 Jaguars. Well done!
