Pittsworth netballers take out Grand Final
The 12A Pittsworth netball team played a highly skilful game last Saturday and dominated the opposition to win by 15 goals.
The team led from the beginning and players were determined to maintain their focus during the whole game.
Ella timed her movements to out-manoeuvre her opposition to be able to receive the ball and shoot goals. Aleisha played in all three areas of the court during the game and excelled in each area.
Harper played a strong game and proved valuable at WD. Olivia has become a powerhouse of a centre court player and is always where she needs to be to receive the ball and send it to the shooters.
Lucy was always available for the ball and provided some good feeds to the shooters.
Milla was strong in both positions and worked diligently to get the ball to the shooters.
Makayla played a strong game in defence and turned over the ball on lots of occasions.
Amelia was named Player of the Grand Final by an independent selector.
She played in both defence and attack.
Her defence skills are the reason the team had extra opportunities to shoot more goals.
An amazing season where the team were minor premiers and then grand final winners.
A well-deserved outcome.
