Pittsworth District Alliance breakfast
A business breakfast hosted by the Pittsworth District Alliance on Tuesday at Rusty's Bar & Grill was well attended.
The insightful and entertaining breakfast gathering heard from Geoff and Ann Park who founded Annie’s House, a registered NDIS provider of respite stays and accommodation for people with a disability.
Annie’s House has three houses in Pittsworth providing this service and runs a variety of activities and educational programs and even holidays once a year.
“One young woman who came with us had never been on a holiday before and was quite overwhelmed,” Ann said.
Ray White Rural principal James Croft gave a fascinating talk about his entry into the industry from jackaroo to auctioneer to his and wife Sally’s purchase of Ray White Rural Pittsworth in 2014, and more recently Ray White Warwick.
He spoke of the exceptional results achieved by the Pittsworth team over the past two years including agent Kathy Hohns earning the best in regional Queensland gong at the recent Ray White awards.
Former high school teacher Renee Elsden gave a talk on how she and husband Paul refitted number 55 Yandilla Street to create their rural fashion business, Top Paddock, to launch in February this year.
Alliance president Bob Holzheimer thanked everyone for their attendance and spoke of the many events coming up on the region’s calendar including Millmerran Camp Oven Festival (October 1-2), Pittsworth Craft & Fine Food Spectacular (October 7-8), the Mayoral Prayer Breakfast (October 21) and Christmas in the Park (December 13).
