Pittsworth celebrates 70 years of Blue Care
A crowd of, aptly about 70, gathered at the Uniting Church Hall on Tuesday to celebrate Blue Care’s 70th anniversary, with Regional Coordinator Glad Tunney welcoming everyone to the event “to rejoice, reminisce and eat cake.”
She said Blue Care’s origins stretched back to 1953 when Rev. Arthur Preston and the West End Methodist Mission introduced community nursing to Queensland.
Local staff, volunteers, residents, clients and their families joined the merriment.
