Pipeline progressing proficiently
Well over two kilometres of pipeline has already been laid as part of the Four Communities water supply project, connecting Clifton, Nobby, Greenmount and Cambooya to greater water security.

The Four Communities project will supply permanent treated water to the four towns, which are currently on bores producing water of varying quality.
The work has been undertaken by Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) with the backing of the Queensland Government.
The first stage of the project, well underway, connects Greenmount to Cambooya.
The second stage connects Greenmount to Nobby and the third stage connects Nobby to Clifton.
Also part of the project is the design and construction of a new water treatment plant in Greenmount and new treated water pipelines from the existing Haldon Street reservoir to supply water to the four towns.
Toowoomba Region Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Strategic Water Planning and Capital Delivery Rebecca Vonhoff told The Clifton Courier the Four Communities water supply project has been progressing well since it was announced in early December 2024.
“Council construction crews have already laid over 20 per cent of the entire project’s pipeline, equating to 2,350m of pipeline,” Cr Vonhoff said.
