Park upgrade complete
The Pittsworth Lions Park in Hume Street has been upgraded with a new set of playground equipment as part of the Council’s Play Facilities Renewal Program.

Toowoomba Regional Council assigned $839,00 in its 2024/25 budget for the Play Facilities Renewal Program which included renewing or replacing play equipment, including soft-fall and shade structures across the region.
The equipment at the Lions Park has been completely replaced.
The Esmond Street Park in Toowoomba and Jaycees Park in Oakey will also benefit from the Play Facilities Renewal Program.
The Lions Park is well used by the community, located beside the Pittsworth State School, and is the only park in town that does not have sand.
The upgrade was completed last week, and the park has since re-opened.
