Oakey Showgrounds pavilion opening date
Local residents are invited to attend the much anticipated opening of the new Oakey Show Society pavilion planned for 11am on Saturday, July 24 at the Oakey Showgrounds.
Construction of the 450 square metre pavilion was achieved with funding provided from the Regional Agricultural Show Development Grants Program.
The massive project has been administered by local company Coops Construction.
Oakey Show Society president Judy Byers said Oakey and district residents are welcome to attend, with invited guests only enjoying an official luncheon.
Mrs Byers said the Christmas Eve in July themed festivities will continue into the afternoon with a Cent Sale held in Greenwood Hall.
Doors will open at 1pm via the ramp for ticket and raffle sales and calling will commence at 2pm.
Entry fee is $10 which includes one cent sale sheet and afternoon tea.
Funds raised from the Cent Sale will be used to provide fittings and fixtures for the pavilion.
