Oakey’s Carnival Display
The Cockburn Landcare Research Centre opened to the public on Saturday for the Carnival of Flowers and will remain open until this Sunday.

Over 40 types of native flowers are on display, and many will be for sale.
Authentic Brookvale Park advisory leaflets written by Lance Cockburn are also being sold for $5 and include the following.
- Australian Plants suitable for alkaline, acidic soils
- How to attract birds into your gardens with native plants
- Australian native plants as fodder
- Pruning to get the best from natives.
Tea and coffee are being provided for a gold coin donation, while cold drinks are being sold.
Landcare meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month at 5.30pm at 50 Kelvinhaugh Road.
