Oakey Lions Club Changeover and Markets
Recently, the Lions Club of Oakey hosted its annual Changeover event at the Oakey RSL which saw the committee members reinstated.
Lions Club president Lois Thorne was re-elected as president, alongside Jenny Wieck who was voted in as Treasurer and Secretary.
Area Zone Leader Maryanne Bisdee attended the Changeover and congratulated both ladies.
On the 17th July, the Lions Club hosted the monthly market for July at the Oakey railway station carpark.
The weather turned out beautifully with clear, sunny skies and the Lions members were selling their usual bacon and egg muffins.
Make sure to come along to the next market, which will be on the third Sunday of next month.
This Saturday the Lions Club will also be hosting a Cent Sale at the Oakey Cultural Centre on Campbell Street.
