Oakey junior footy talent signs contract with Bulldogs
Leteena Medland has signed a three-year contract with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.
The young footy star has had success playing in both rugby league and rugby union, and represented Queensland’s Under 16 Schools side last year in Townsville along with the Western Clydesdales Under 17s side.
After being signed by Canterbury’s recruitment officer Fifita Hala, Leteena has been playing with the Bulldogs in the Lisa Fiaola Cup, which is New South Wales’ Under 17 representative competition.
Leteena has been used mostly off the bench in the first three rounds of the competition.
Her Bulldogs side has won each game comfortably in its quest to defend the crown.
The young talent appears to have a bright future ahead, but mum Katarina says full time footy will have to be put on hold, until Grade 12 and an apprenticeship at McLean Care CWA House are completed.
