Oakey hosts men’s bowls final
The Darling Downs Bowls Association (DDBA) hosted its Single Men’s Final at the Oakey Bowls Club recently.

The competition was held over two days with players from across the Downs competing for the title.
Although several Oakey residents took part in the first day of competition, the level of skill was too strong and all were knocked out before the semi-finals.
In the end, Jimmo Hagan from West Toowoomba Club came in first place followed by Jamie Dickson from Laidley.
