Oakey Electrical is national finalist
Up against some tough competition, Oakey Electrical has been named one of the finalists for the prestigious Australian Small Business Champion Awards 2022.
Out of 3,500 nominations, Oakey Electrical beat out thousands of businesses across the country after it was announced the store had been named a finalist in the Specialised Retail Small Business category.
Oakey Electrical’s Andrew Langton said he’s at a loss of words for how grateful he is.
“We didn’t even enter this ourselves, we just got a call telling us we were in the running for these awards.
“So this is very exciting for us!
“We go down to Sydney next month for a ceremony where they will announce the winners.”
Awards founder Steve Loe said he was excited to reveal the expansion of the program to 100 categories this year, giving more small businesses the opportunity to be recognised.
He said since the Awards’ inception in 1999, it’s only become bigger.
“I have been immensely proud to watch and be part of the continued growth of the awards program as it has evolved into the nation’s most respected initiative to recognise small business achievements,” he said.
“If you are an owner and manager of an Australian small business, you deserve to be acknowledged and recognised.
“I encourage you to be part of this exciting awards program and celebrate your achievements and success.
“I hope to meet you at our next Australian Small Business Champion Awards gala event.”
This year’s National Presentation Evening will be held over two nights at The Star in Sydney over 2nd and 3rd September.
